-cracy는 Latin < Greek 어원으로 "rule" "government" "strength" 의미로 쓰입니다. 

 

crat도 같은 의미를 가지지만 "사람"을 지칭하게 됩니다.

 

 

1. aristocracy: aristo(=noble) + cracy(=ruling) n. a government ruled by the privileged upper class 귀족정치

귀족이 지배하는 정치형태 = 귀족정치

 

aristocrat = n. a member of an aristocracy 귀족, 귀족정치 주의자

4. democracy: demos(=people) + cracy(=ruling) n. a government by the people 민주주의

국민이 스스로 지배하는 정치구조 = 민주주의

 

democrat = n. 민주당원, 민주당의

 

 

5. plutocracy: pluto(=wealth) + cracy(=ruling) n. a political system ruled by the wealthy people 금권정치

돈이나 부를 가진 사람들이 지배하는 정치구조 = 금권정치

 

plutocrat = n. 부자, 금권정치가

 

 

6. technocracy: techno(=technology) + cracy(=ruling) n. a government where scientists and technical experts are in control 과학자와 기술자가 지배하는 사회

 

technocrat = n. technocracy 주창자, 기술관리자, 전문기술자
