온타리오주 고등학교 졸업 디플로마(OSSD) 취득 조건

 

 

온타리오주의 고등학교 졸업장인 Ontario Secondary School Diploma(OSSLT)를 받으려면 아래와 같이 학점을 이수하여야 합니다.

 

1. 필수과목 18학점

2. 선택과목 12학점

3. Literacy Requirement: OSSLT 시험 통과

4. 40시간 이상 지역사회 봉사활동

 

 

필수과목(Compulsory credits): 18학점

• English: 4 credits (9, 10, 11, 12학년 각학년 1학점씩)
• mathematics: 3 credits (적어도 1 credit은 Grade 11 또는 12)
• group 1, 2 and 3 courses: 3 credits (각 그룹에서 1 credit)
• science: 2 credits 
• Canadian history: 1 credit (Grade 10)
• Canadian geography: 1 credit (Grade 9)
• the arts: 1 credit
• health and physical education: 1 credit 
• French as a second language: 1 credit 
• career studies: 0.5 credit 
• civics and citizenship: 0.5 credit 

 

Group 1, 2 and 3 필수학점(compulsory credits)

 

위 18학점 중 아래 3가지 그룹에서 각 1학점 씩 총 3학점을 받아야 합니다.

 

Group 1:

• English (including the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course) or French as a second language
• Native languages
• First Nations, Métis, and Inuit studies
• classical and international languages
• social sciences and the humanities
• Canadian and world studies
• guidance and career education
• cooperative education
• American Sign Language as a second language
• Langue des signes québécoise langue seconde

 

Group 2:

• health and physical education
• the arts
• business studies
• French as a second language
• cooperative education
• American Sign Language as a second language
• Langue des signes québécoise langue seconde

 

Group 3:

• science (Grade 11 or 12)
• technological education
• French as a second language
• computer studies
• cooperative education
• American Sign Language as a second language
• Langue des signes québécoise langue seconde

 

참고사항:

• French as a second language는 위 그룹 1, 2, 3 중에서 최대 2학점까지 필수 점수로 인정 받을 수 있습니다. 즉, 그룹 1에서 1학점, 그룹 2나 3에서 1학점으로 2학점을 인정 받을 수 있습니다. 
• Coop 과목을 통하여 최대 2학점을 어느 그룹이든 필수 점수로 인정받을 수 있습니다.

 

**ESL 또는 ELD 점수:

학생들은 ESL/ELD 듣는 동안 이수한 학점으로 최대 3학점까지 English 점수로 인정받을 수 있습니다. 즉, ESL에서 받은 3학점을 모두 인정 받았을 경우 English 12만 이수하면 졸업 학점을 채울 수 있습니다.
